Is It Already Over!?
A project to promote more art and culture in schools, initiated and realized by Junges Theater Bremen, Tanzwerk e.V., Kulturzentrum Schlachthof e.V. and Kunsthaus KUBO e.V. with the Gesamtschule Bremen Mitte, Standort Brokstraße, grades 8 - 10.
While there was a lack of capacity in schools during the coronavirus pandemic to support young people with their fears, needs and wishes, cultural education venues were either only open with restrictions or closed completely due to coronavirus protection measures. In the project "Is it already over!? Artistic Exchange of Experiences on Experiencing the Corona Pandemic", we have joined forces with Junges Theater Bremen, Tanzwerk e.V., Kulturzentrum Schlachthof e.V. and Gesamtschule Bremen Mitte to exploit the potential of an alliance between schools and cultural education and to combine the resources of schools and extracurricular cultural education.
Children and young people were exposed to particular pressures as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and their needs were not sufficiently taken into account during the crisis.. The aim of the project was therefore to give young people space to reflect on their individual concerns and needs as well as ideas and wishes for the future through various forms of artistic expression (visual arts, theater, dance and film) and to make these visible through an alliance of schools and various actors in cultural education.
